I absoltely love reading, I have to read to be able to get to sleep at night! When I haven't had a book in the house and need something to read to get to sleep I have even been known to borrow a Mills & Boon book I'm not overkeen on them though as they are so predictable! I love all kinds of books but my favourite authors are Martina Cole, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Grisham and James Patterson. I do like a good horror story ;D

The Bottom Line This book is a must read for anyone who loves suspense, horror, or dogs! Einstein, a golden retriever with super intelligence, is the main character of this gripping story, though the various humans involved in the adventure might tell you otherwise. Dean Koontz delivers thrills and chills from the very beginning of this novel till its last pages, as a secret government experiment goes wrong and creates two amazing animals – one incredibly good and the other incredibly evil. Pros
* Intense story * Believable setting * Diabolical villain
Cons
* Hero seems too competent * Ending too pat * Slow moving in spots
Description
* Genre: Science Fiction/Horror Fiction * Illustrated? No * Publisher: Berkley Books
Guide Review - Book: "Watchers" by Dean Koontz Travis Cornell, the troubled hero of Dean Koontz’s thriller Watchers, is planning to end his unhappy life in the wilderness when he encounters a beautiful golden retriever with astonishing intelligence. He also senses the presence of a malevolent being which he dubs “The Outsider” watching them. With the help of the dog, who he dubs Einstein, Travis regains his will to live and helps a young woman named Nora Devon escape a brutal relationship.
But nothing is ever simple in a Koontz novel. Soon, Nora, Travis and Einstein find themselves the target of a cold-blooded hitman named Vince, who is as relentless as he is deadly. Also pursuing them is “The Outsider,” a killer possessing monstrous strength and an inhuman rage who wants to destroy Einstein. Everything and everyone comes together in a climactic battle in which Koontz makes clear his point that we are all “watchers,” and that people must watch out for each other.

I love Dr Who. Haven't read any of the books though. I've nearly finished Lisey's Story by Stephen King - it isn't very good, I've only persevered with it because my daughter bought it for me for Christmas. His writing seems to have deteriorated since his accident a few years back I like Dean Koontz Slip, I'll see if I can get hold of that one - it'd better be good
