You might already know this but the trick to great mashed potatoes is when you have drained them they can be a bit watery and mushy so put them back on a low heat and keep stirring until all the excess water has evaporated and they will be nice and floury. Add your butter and mash them up. Hey presto, great mashed potatoes!
